‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video‘ has now completed 11 days since its release and largely while the numbers have remained the same all through the weekdays, it did see a jump over the weekend. On Sunday, which was day 10, the film made a number in the Rs 2 crore range, however, it sees a major drop again on Monday. This was expected as the film has not got all positive reviews and there’s not been major word of mouth as such. But, it’s done better than ‘Jigra’ which released along with it.
‘Vicky Vidya…’ made Rs 2.6 crore on its second Sunday, while the collection of Day 11, Monday is Rs 1.1 crore. Thus the total collection of the film so far is Rs 34.35 crore according to Sacnilk. The opening day number of the movie which was in the Rs 5-6 crore range was pretty decent, had it continied to see some growth or maintained the same through positive word of mouth. But that didn’t occur. More so, this number may be less, when one thinks about Rajkummar’s previous release ‘Stree 2’.
Both ‘Jigra’ and ‘Vicky Vidya…’ continue to have an open window at the box office till November 1 but still both these films may struggle to touch Rs 40 crore. ‘Vicky Vidya…’ may still somehow achieve that but the Rs 50 crore lifetime collection looks quite difficult at the moment.
