With Korean superstars like Song Joong-ki, Park Min-young, and Jun Ji-hyun returning to the screen, alongside gripping shows like Queen Mantis and Walking on Thin Ice, swoon-worthy romances like My Youth, and thrilling espionage dramas like Tempest, here are the unmissable K-dramas of September 2025.
My Youth
A romance drama starring Song Joong-ki as Sun Woo-hae, a novelist and florist who’s found his happy place after a tough time in the past. When he bumps into his first love, Sung Je-yeon (played by Chun Woo-hee), who’s now a team leader at her office, they both confront the ghosts of their past and the realities of their present, embarking on a journey of self-discovery—and maybe even rediscovering each other in the process.

Queen Mantis
Cha Soo-yeol’s (Jang Dong-yoon) life is complicated—his mother, Jung Yi-Shin (Go Hyun-jung), is the infamous Mantis, a serial killer with a dark past, and he’s had a serious grudge against her for years as a result. But when a new murder case seems like a carbon copy of her past crimes, Soo-yeol must team up with his mother to crack it.

Confidence Queen
Park Min-young’s Confidence Queen is a Korean spin on the popular Japanese crime and comedy-drama The Confidence Man JP, which follows Dako (Masami Nagasawa), a cunning con artist, and her partners, Boku-chan (Masahiro Higashide) and Richard (Fumiyo Kohinata), who target the corrupt and powerful with their genius scam plans. In the Korean remake, Park Min-young plays Yoon Yi-rang, a brilliant swindler, alongside Joo Jung-hyuk as Myeong Ku-ho, a young con artist, and Park Hee-soon as James, a veteran con man, scamming the corrupt for the greater good.

Tempest
An espionage romance series and the comeback K-drama of Hallyu superstar Jun Ji-hyun after her last series, Jirisan, in 2021, Tempest stars her as Seo Mun-ju, an accomplished diplomat with a storied past as a UN ambassador, and Baek San-ho, played by Gang Dong-won, an enigmatic international special agent who joins a deadly mission to save Korea from a looming threat.

You and Everything Else
Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun portray Ryu Eun-joong and Cheon Sang-yeon, two close friends who, as they pursue their professional goals, drift apart, but a terminal illness diagnosis brings them back together. The drama explores the complex dynamics of their friendship, tested by time, ambition, and emotional complexities.

A Hundred Memories
Go Young-rye (Kim Da-mi) and Seo Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun), two young women, try to figure out life, love, and everything in between when Han Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun) enters the scene and turns their lives upside down. Think 80s nostalgia, messy emotions, and a whole lot of melodrama.

Shin’s Project
Mr. Shin (Han Suk-kyu) is the OG mediator and a neighborhood hero in this black comedy. He owns a chicken restaurant and is someone who can solve everyone’s problems with his smooth talk and charm. However, beneath the surface, he leads a secret life and possesses a strong sense of justice, showing no fear in challenging the system.

Walking on Thin Ice
Kang Eun-Soo (Lee Young-Ae) is a desperate housewife drowning in bills for her ailing husband. Her life’s a mess waiting to get messier as she gets caught up with Lee Kyung (Kim Young-kwang), a shady teacher, and turns to crime by selling high-stakes narcotics that she stumbles upon while struggling to pay for her husband’s medicines. But just as things are getting intense, a veteran detective starts sniffing around, and Eun-Soo’s world is turned upside down.
