Dutch progressive/math metal band, Textures, who reunited in 2024, are set to return to India for two highly anticipated shows this September.
The band, which officially disbanded in 2018 after their final performance at NH7 Weekender Pune in December 2017, has always shared a strong bond with Indian fans. As part of ticketing platform Skillbox’s LiveBox gig series, Textures will perform in Mumbai on Sept. 12, 2025, and in Bengaluru on Sept. 13, 2025.
Tickets will go live on May 1 at noon on Skillbox. The band will be supported by Mumbai/Guwahati metal band Silver Tears at both shows.
Back in 2017, Textures had announced their farewell, feeling they had accomplished all they set out to do since forming in Tilburg in 2001. Though they released the album Phenotype and had planned a companion record titled Genotype, the band ultimately chose to part ways on a high note—closing their journey with shows in Tilburg and Pune.
Drummer Stef Broks told Rolling Stone India in 2017, “If there’s one country that deserves this honor, it’s India. We just decided to go for it. If it was probably any other country, we’d just cancel it.”
Broks recalled the warmth of Indian fans from their first performances in 2009 and 2010. “I think what was surprising for us was that a lot of people kneeled down when we came over there [the first time]. They went, ‘Oh you’re Stef! You’re here and you’re like a god.’ You have to know, we are coming from a country here in Western Europe that is very, very sober. We don’t believe in rockstars here at all.”
