Circus Festival will set up in Mumbai this December, bringing electronic heavyweights such as Monolink (Live), Hugel, Jamie Jones, I Hate Models, Klangkuenstler, Maceo Plex and more between Dec. 26 to Dec. 29 at Dome SVP Stadium.
Known for hosting house and techno acts at their previous two editions in Goa in December 2023 and 2024, Circus Festival’s upcoming India will also feature artists Special Request, Yousef (the founder of Circus Music), Ankytrixx, Film, Kollision, Ana Lilia, Blurry Slur, Midnight Traffic, Answer and more across four days.
Alongside a stacked lineup, Circus—a global touring event series that has been active for 22 years now—also focuses on stage production and “experiential design” at their shows. To that end, an L-Acoustics configuration is being set up at Dome SVP Stadium for a “360° sonic experience,” and they’re partnering with event architecture collective Panterra, plus Indian designers such as Prithish Srinivasan, Dan Naidu and Dax.
A press release adds, “Inspired by the concept of a chronoform — a living machine of perception exploring the tension between human intuition and artificial intelligence — the main stage features a monumental mechanical centerpiece, surrounded by high-output intelligent lighting and meticulously crafted scenography.”
Circus Music founder Yousef says in a statement, “From house, tech-house and Afro-house to melodic and hard techno, this edition showcases the full spectrum of electronic music. Having played the world’s best clubs and festivals for two decades — from Ibiza to Liverpool — I can say the energy in India now rivals the very best of them. India has become an essential part of the Circus message.”
Organizers Rockage Entertainment, YPD Live and Xora’s reps Aman Vijan, Sohail Chowdhary, Yogesh Popat and Pruthvi Veeramachaneni add in a joint statement, “This year marks a special moment for all of us as we partner with Circus to bring the festival to our hometown. Mumbai has always been the hub of electronic music in India — a city that breathes culture, energy and creativity. Coming together for this edition allows us to build something bigger than ever before, for the city we all call home.”
Circus Festival tickets are now available on Skillbox, with multiple tiers including general access, fanpit, VIP, backstage and on stage, with Circus India kicking off from 4 pm onwards from Dec. 26 to Dec. 29, 2025.
