Hanumankind is diving headfirst into his next chapter—literally.
The 33-year-old rapper just announced his upcoming Monsoon Season mixtape with a slow-motion cinematic teaser that features him leaping off a cliff with a crew of friends.
Directed by longtime collaborator Bijoy Shetty, the short film captures the recklessness and freedom that’s come to define the artist’s world so far.
Set to release on July 25, Monsoon Season will feature 10 tracks and marks some of Hanumankind’s most ambitious collaborations to date. The project includes collaborations by U.S. rappers Denzel Curry and Maxo Kream, rising St. Louis artist Roisee, and Indian experimental vocalist Rudy Mukta.
The rapper’s fan-favorite banger “Big Dawgs,” which topped local hip-hop playlists earlier this year, will be included on the tape, along with his latest drop, “Villainous Freestyle,” produced by Kalmi.
Over the past year, Hanumankind has experienced a meteoric rise, driven by the global success of his breakout single “Big Dawgs,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200, and earned him an official remix featuring A$AP Rocky.
He continued the momentum with the cinematic release of “Run It Up,” a track that paid tribute to traditional Indian martial arts and was even acknowledged by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting India’s cultural heritage.
Beyond music, he made his acting debut in the Malayalam film Rifle Club, performed at Netflix’s global Tudum event, and took the stage at Coachella 2025.
Backed by Capitol Records and Def Jam India, Hanumankind has quickly evolved into one of the country’s most globally visible rap acts, infusing sharp lyricism with striking visuals and fearless creativity.
The rapper also graced the cover of Rolling Stone India in August 2024, where he spoke about his life before “Big Dawgs” blew up and shared his views on a range of topics including collaboration, community, and cultural pride.
