After nearly three years apart, BTS have officially reunited—and the comeback plans are bigger than ever. Following the completion of their military service, including Suga’s final discharge on June 21, 2025, all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—appeared together on a Weverse livestream on July 1 to share what’s next for the global superstars.
During the broadcast, the group confirmed they’re working on a new BTS album set for release in spring 2026, with a world tour to follow. RM revealed that they’ll be traveling to different cities as they collaborate on the project, starting this month in the U.S., to spend time together while working on music.
The upcoming schedule has been planned around Jin’s solo fan concert tour, #RunSeokjin_Ep., which began in Korea and will continue across Japan, the U.S., the U.K., and the Netherlands. Jin will join the group for recording sessions as they work around his tour commitments to ensure he’s actively involved in the process.
Jimin and Jungkook Return With Season 2 of ‘Are You Sure?’
Adding to the excitement, Jimin and Jungkook are bringing back their fan-favorite travel variety show Are You Sure? for a second season. While Season 1 featured adventures in New York, Jeju Island, and Sapporo, the upcoming episodes have been filmed in Switzerland and Vietnam, with rumors of a special guest appearance by RM. The new season is expected to be released by late 2025.
J-Hope at Lollapalooza Berlin & BTS Live Album
Meanwhile, J-Hope will perform at Lollapalooza Berlin on July 13, and BTS will showcase their first live album, Permission to Dance on Stage Live, on July 18. The latter will feature 22 tracks from their stadium world tour. According to Big Hit Music, “The live album captures the BTS Permission to Dance on Stage tour series, which delivered powerful performances to global audiences both in-person and online from 2021 to 2022.”
A Glimpse into Post-Military Life
Fans also got a rare glimpse into how military service has shaped the members. V shared that he still instinctively wakes up at 6:30 a.m. every day and performs roll call, while Jungkook revealed several new tattoos—including designs on his hand and chest—showing a more mature image as BTS enters their next chapter.
What’s Next?
While no specific tour stops have been announced yet, media outlets are already speculating cities like San Antonio and other major markets could be on the list, especially given J-Hope’s solo performances in the U.S. earlier this year.
In the meantime, RM continues expanding his cultural footprint—he was recently named Global Ambassador for Samsung’s Art TV and has participated in panels at major art events including Art Basel, reflecting BTS’s influence beyond music.
With new music, live content, and global appearances lined up, BTS’s long-anticipated return is officially underway—and it’s only just getting started.
