She revealed that she was horrible when she was reading the scene for the first time, for the film ‘1942: A Love Story. “Vidhu Vinod Chopra clearly told me, ‘You are very bad’,” Manisha Koirala reminisced. Following which she requested him to give her 24 hours, and told him that if he isn’t impressed by her performance, she would accept it.
Manisha Koirala added that she went back to home, and had no idea about what was good acting and poor, as it was her third or fourth film. “I had only 3-4 sheets in my hand, and I read them countless times. I went back, did the screen test again, and, of course, I was accepted,” she recalled.
