Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Reliance Foundation has handed out their first invitations to India’s inaugural country house, India House.

The first invitation for the opening ceremony of India’s inaugural country house, India House was extended by the children from the Reliance Foundation-supported NGO. The likes of Rhythm Sangwan (shooter), Reetika Hooda(wrestler), PT Usha(President, IOA), Mansukh Mandaviya (Sports Minister), Anish Bhanwala (shooter) and Sandeep Singh (shooter) were handed the invites during the Paris 2024 Olympics send-off ceremony in Delhi today.

The India House at the Paris Olympics has been conceptualised by Reliance Foundation as part of its partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and will serve as a home away from home for athletes and fans.

The event also saw the launch of Reliance Foundation’s ‘India Ka Hausla’ campaign featuring Mrs Nita M Ambani, IOC member and founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation along with the Paris-bound quintet of PV Sindhu, Chirag Shetty, Bhavina Patel, Amir Ahmad Bhat and Jyothi Yarraji. The campaign is aimed to lift the spirits of Indian athletes and wish Team India success for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

India House will act as a second home for the athletes who have travelled to cheer on the Indian athletes during the Paris 2024 Olympics. Visitors will also have the chance to have interactions with various sporting legends and they will also be able to check out many key events with their friends and family as it is to be open for media and fans across all nations.

There are also watch parties, especially for the Indian events which will be conducted in partnership with Viacom18 who are the exclusive media rights holders for the Olympic Games in India.

India House will also celebrate 100 years since India first competed in the Olympic Games under the support of the IOA in 1920. It will symbolise India’s growth as a formidable force across many disciplines and celebrate the country’s undeterred commitment to the Olympics with ambitions of also hosting it in the future as well.

The India House will be located at the Parc de la Villette, also known as the ‘Park of Nations,’ during the Olympics 2024. They will be surrounded by 14 other hospitality houses which include the likes of Netherlands, Canada, Brazil and the hosts France.
