Rakul Preet Singh who tied the knot with Jackky Bhagnani on February 21st in Goa, shared their Big Day with the world through a series of fun-filled images on Instagram. Filled with love and laughter, the couple looked ethereal in custom Tarun Tahiliani ensembles, as they celebrated their union amidst close family and friends.
The sunset shaadi of Rakul and Jackky played the perfect canvas for their pastel wedding trousseau celebrating their individual personalities with Tarun Tahiliani’s labour of love and celebrity fashion stylist Ami Patel’s impeccable styling.
Capturing the essence of modern allure, Rakul Preet’s wedding ensemble for the evening pheras comprised an exquisite lehenga bedecked with three-dimensional floral motifs in captivating ivory and blush hues.
Complementing Rakul’s gorgeous smile, the bridal lehenga was paired with a blouse featuring sheer tulle sleeves encrusted with graded pearls and crystal detailing. And what’s a wedding without a veil, right? Rakul’s bridal statement piece featured a structured tulle veil reminiscent of a floral cascade, adorned with whimsical stars and meticulously scattered Swarovski crystals. The breathtaking ensemble exuded enchanting sophistication, true to Rakull’s spirited elegance. Her personalised kalires and choodha were designed by Mrinalini Chandra.
Jackky Bhagnani as Tarun Tahiliani was a transcendental look that celebrated legacy and craftsmanship. Tarun Tahiliani found his creative pulse in the rich tapestry of Kashmir’s beauty, culture, and artistry, and the region’s iconic Chinar leaf, a poetic muse from the designer’s early years, became a central theme in Jackky’s wedding attire.
The crafted chikankari sherwani, adorned with the ‘intricate chinar’ motif, is a labour of love that unfolded over a laborious six-month period. Every detail is brought to life through painstaking hand embroidery, employing various chikankari techniques with silk threads, and being enriched with authentic zardozi by Tarun Tahiliani’s master craftsmen.
This opulent creation is not merely a garment but a saga of artistry. Jackky paired the handcrafted sherwani with an iconic pleated stole and kurta. Light as a dream, the look embodies the spirit of a Goa wedding, a contemporary symphony celebrating the essence of the modern Indian man as personified by Jackky on his big day.
Celebrating their big day were an array of celebrity friends, including Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur, Lakshmi Manchu, Pragya Jaiswal, Bhumi Pednekar, Kunal Rawal, Shahid Kapur, and Mira Kapoor among others.
