The actress is currently seen as one of the leads in the web series Raisinghani Vs Raisinghani.

Reem Shaikh has been in the television industry since her childhood. Beginning her career as a child artist in shows like Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and gradually progressing to prominent roles in daily soap, Reem has come a long way. The actress is currently seen as one of the leads in the web series Raisinghani vs Raisinghani and her performance is commendable. Recently, the actress opened up about being threatened on set.

In an interview with The Indian Express, Reem shared how she managed to make a name for herself in a man’s world. Sharing about an incident, Reem said, “I have had different fights. Obviously it is a man’s world, and also the fact that I am young and have happened to work with people who have been much older than me. On one of my sets, I was told by a man, ‘Just be grateful I didn’t make your life miserable while you were working on that set.’ I have been told this on my face.”

Jennifer Winget, Reem Shaikh’s co-star in Raisinghani vs Raisinghani, was shocked to hear her narrate the incident and suggested that she should have slapped that man. Reem added that she faced the man bravely and questioned him for his behaviour. However, the actress stated that this was not the first time she faced such a situation. She said, “I have been through that several times, but I have also had a very strong man’s support with me and that is my dad. I have always come back stronger.” She mentioned that her father made her strong enough that if anyone tries to mess around, she can have the courage to face them boldly.

Meanwhile, earlier in an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress shared how she was often discriminated against on sets because of being young. The actress told the portal that even after working for around fifteen years in the entertainment industry, she still strives to get the same respect as other leads of a show who are older than her. She expressed that it was unfair and that, as a lead, she should be respected the same way. “But many times, because I’m young, people take me for granted,” mentioned Reem.

Reem Shaikh is essaying the role of Ankita, a journalist who vows to take revenge on her stepfather. The series also stars Jennifer Winget, Karan Wahi and Sanjay Nath and is streaming on SonyLiv.
