Directed by Adinath Kothare, ‘Paani’ delves into the life of an ordinary man living in Nagderwadi, a drought-stricken village in Nanded, Maharashtra. The film captures his relentless efforts to make his village self-sufficient in water, despite the numerous challenges he faces along the way. The narrative is a poignant reflection on the importance of water conservation and the struggles faced by communities in water-scarce regions.
‘Paani’ features a talented cast, including Subodh Bhave, Kishore Kadam, Adinath Kothare, and Rucha Vaidya. The film, originally released in 2019, garnered widespread acclaim, including a National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation.
