More international artists are being added to India’s gig calendar this season, with the latest being American singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer Jon Batiste. The Grammy and Oscar-winning artist will make his India debut on Nov. 24, 2025 in New Delhi and in Mumbai on Nov. 26, 2025.
While the Mumbai venue and tickets are yet to be announced, Batiste’s first of two solo piano shows takes place at New Delhi’s Plenary Hall, Bharat Mandapam. Produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, tickets are slated to go live on Sept. 3, 2025 at 11 am as part of an artist pre-sale, followed by general sale starting on Sept. 5, 2025 at 11 am on BookMyShow.
Batiste said in a statement, “India’s musical spirit has always inspired me. I’m beyond thrilled to finally perform in Mumbai and Delhi. This tour is about sharing joy, stories and sounds that bring us together and I can’t wait to experience that magic with all of you in India.” The show is described by organizers as Jon Batiste at the piano, and is part of The Maestro series of gigs.
Louisiana-origin Batiste has had a mercurial rise to global acclaim for his genre-bending ways, often incorporating jazz, soul, R&B, and hip-hop, among other styles, into albums like We Are (2021) and World Music Radio (2023). On Aug. 22, he released his seventh album, Big Money.
His accolades also include an Academy Award for the Pixar film Soul and a seven-year tenure as bandleader and musical director of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. World Music Radio earned five Grammy nominations, and with We Are, Batiste won Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022. That year, he was nominated in categories ranging from American Roots to R&B to jazz and classical, plus his contribution to Soul with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Naman Pugalia, BookMyShow’s chief business officer of live events, says in his statement, “At BookMyShow Live, we’re opening new doors for Indian audiences by bringing the world’s most iconic artists to our stages and shaping India’s place in the global live entertainment story. Jon Batiste’s music speaks a universal language, and his India debut is both a cultural milestone and a rare, moving experience for fans in the country.”
