Garvita Sadhwani recently joined the cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai by replacing Pratiksha Honmukhe. Shehzada Dhami also entered the show.

The popular television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) recently made headlines after actors Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe were suddenly fired following their unprofessional behaviour. In a statement by the makers, the show’s producer, Ranjan Shahi, confirmed the development and said that the actors’ unprofessional behaviour on the sets prompted them to take the decision.

While the news itself created a lot of buzz, it was later confirmed that the actors would be replaced by Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani. While Rohit takes on the role of Armaan (earlier played by Shehzada Dhami), Garvita is seen as Roohi, replacing Pratiksha Honmukhe in the role.

Days after the new actors were introduced to the show, Garvita Sadhwani recently opened up about her experience on the sets, bonding with her co-stars, and the audiences’ reaction to the sudden replacements.

In a conversation with ETimes, Garvita began by sharing that she is enjoying working on the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, further opening up about her first episode that went on air and received a good response.

“The audience gave us a very good response and I am so grateful. Touchwood! The audience likes my work and we are getting positive comments. I am reading all the comments that fans are sending. They are writing to me that Ruhi is looking very cute. People are praising my acting and the cutest comment that I came across was that Ruhi and Abhira are finally looking like sisters. I have got a really warm reception from the audience and the journey is going to be great working on the show,” she said.

Garvita also spoke about replacing Pratiksha Honmukhe, adding that it was a “tough and challenging” job for her. “Not just replacing but working on any character is a tough and challenging job to justify the role. I have been shooting for the past week and I have got used to it. I am sure that the audience will also get used to it. I am getting a good reaction from the audience and I’m sure things will be normal very soon. I am working hard to justify the role as we have to respect somebody’s work,” she continued.

The actress also spoke about her bonding with the team, stating that the production team treats her like a family.
