1. Remove rusty things from the house: If there are rusty things in your house, then remove them first during Diwali cleaning because such things attract negative energy in the house. So it is said to remove rusty things from your house first.
2. Do not keep broken idols in the house: Keeping broken idols in the house is not considered auspicious because they are considered a symbol of negative energy. It is believed that if there are broken idols in the house, then an atmosphere of discord and strife is created in your house. Apart from this, such idols also become the reason for your financial loss. So one should remove such idols from the house and immerse them in a clean pond or holy river. This removes poverty.
3. Throw out damaged electrical items: Apart from this, if you have damaged electrical items in your house, then throw them out of your house because damaged electrical items cause Shani Dosh. Due to which the atmosphere of your house gets spoiled and there is a situation of quarrel and conflict every day. So one should also throw out such items from the house before Diwali.
