If you’re looking for a few last-minute, thoughtful Diwali gifts for a music lover (or yourself) this week, we’ve got you covered. With festive season sales on throughout, the deals are as welcoming as ever. Whether you’re in need of an upgrade or want to get introduced to a new level of listening, here are headphones, wireless earbuds and speakers that we recommend.
Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless 80th Anniversary Special Edition

Sennheiser’s Momentum 4 Wireless over ear headphones have been winners when it comes to sound clarity, noise cancelation and battery life. If you want a design that also looks funky and festive, their 80th Anniversary special edition features graffiti-like motifs on the cans and a yellow headband, which makes it eye-catching. With a 60-hour battery life (offering further six hours with a quick 10-minute charge) and four mics for calls and easy connectivity, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless also has a smart pause function that lets you halt playback when you take off the headphones, resuming when you put them back on.

Nothing Headphone (1)

The Nothing Headphone (1) over-ear headphones have been making quite a splash in the premium audio segment. Promising deeply immersive listening experiences through their custom 40mm dynamic drivers and real-time Spatial Audio with head tracking, this is a step up from anyone familiar with their Nothing Ear line of wireless earbuds. They support Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and USB-C lossless playback, offering up to 35 hours of playtime with active noise cancelation. Featuring Nothing’s now-distinctive tactile controls (Roller, Paddle, Button) and AI-powered call clarity, this one’s a potential disruptor.

Philips TAS2400

If you saw our review of Philips TAS1209 wireless speakers, then you know they’ve built a great range of outdoors-friendly audio tech. The bigger, more colorful TAS2400 Bluetooth speakers (available in deep black and willow bough) have IPX4 splash resistance and promise up to 10 hours of playtime, which is plenty to keep the party going. With a 32-watt output and 57 mm drivers, the TAS2400 is like the TAS1209’s elder sibling, suitable for outdoors as well as a chatty gathering indoors where the music won’t get drowned out.
Buy the TAS2400 on Flipkart, Amazon starting from ₹1,997.
OnePlus Buds 4

As we noted in our review earlier this year, the OnePlus Buds 4 are now available for ₹5,299, discounted from their original retail price of ₹6,499 and with a bank discount, it’s being priced at ₹4,799 as well. Adaptive ANC, LHDC 5.0 high-res audio and ultra-low latency are key highlights here.
Available in Zen Green and Storm Gray, it also houses the same dual-driver system and Dual DACs described in a recent press briefing as “a dedicated sound engineer in your pocket.” The earbud stalks are notably staying big at a time when everyone else wants sleek and compact. OnePlus Buds 4 are striking for sure, but it’s nice having a features-packed pair of earbuds that haven’t chosen style over functionality.
Honeywell Trueno U20

Honeywell have recently started becoming known for their audio range and it might just be a wallet-friendly bet when it comes to Diwali purchases. Currently selling at ₹4,799 via Amazon, these over ear headphones come with hybrid active noise cancelation for different environments (including a gaming mode), and are also equipped with the (now) industry standard of spatial audio and head tracking for comfortable and deep listening. With dual-pairing to let you switch between devices seamlessly, the Honeywell Trueno U20 promises 60 hours of battery life with ANC on and 70 hours without ANC. A quick recharge of 10 minutes can add five hours of playtime.
