Ajay Devgn is shuffling things up a bit in his wife Kajol‘s upcoming horror film ‘Maa‘.
According to the latest buzz, the actor has is keen to add some new sequences to the Vishal Furia directorial, after viewing initial rushes. Although the team initially wrapped its primary shoot mid-May, the crew will reportedly return to the set to shoot these new scenes.
A report on Mid-Day states, “Writer Saiwyn Quadras pitched the concept to Ajay, who liked it and set things into motion. Recently, Ajay watched the rough cut and loved it. That was immensely encouraging for Vishal, who is now refining the action sequences to balance both horror and emotional impact.”The additional scenes aim to strengthen both the film’s action and emotional elements between Kajol’s character and her child. Action director RP Yadav, known for ‘Tanhaji’ and ‘Shaitaan’, has been brought in to develop these scenes, aligning with Devgn’s vision for realism and depth. “Since *Maa* is an emotion-driven story at its crux, the action needs to be contextual and realistic. Keeping that in mind, the action director and Furia are designing the new sequences,” the report adds.
‘Maa’ will reportedly follow a mother’s fight to protect her child from supernatural forces.
With Kajol currently wrapping up ‘The Trial’ Season 2, the team will come together for a five-day shoot in Mumbai at the end of November, bringing the final touches to a film that promises both thrills, chills and heartfelt moments.
