Thangalaan EXCLUSIVE: Malavika Mohanan, Vikram, Pa Ranjith On Challenges of Creating The KGF Epic

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Malvika revealed the entire process of her doing stunts with Vikram, she said , “ I was not trained in the kind of stunts I was doing in the film. There is a form of martial arts called Silambam, so a lot of stick fights are derived from there , so I had to start from scratch, with the entire physicality of the form. And, I also had to look convincing fighting Vikram Sir which was a mammoth task, but everything happened so fast that I didn’t get time to mull over it. “
“ Initially it was very difficult, I thought they are going to replace me. But my director Pa Ranjith was sweet, he said he’ll start another schedule which doesn’t require me, so I underwent rigorous training for my role in the meantime. And in the process I have hurt Vikram Sir a lot.” she added.
Confirming the pain Vikram said, “She began from scratch, but it was me who got the scratches; I used to get bruised and she would say but I’m using a dummy, but dummy also hurts. “
“ But now she’s a rockstar!! She can do her movements even in her sleep or even while brushing her teeth” he added.
