According to the website, Stree 2 enjoyed special opening premieres on Wednesday, earning Rs 8 crore. On its official opening day, the film raked in approximately Rs 46 crore, bringing the total to around Rs 54.25 crore. This impressive figure makes it the biggest opening day grosser of 2024, surpassing Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) and Fighter. To put this in perspective, the first Stree took six days to reach Rs 54.88 crore net in India. On its opening day, Stree 2 boasted a 75.09% occupancy rate in Hindi.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 reunites Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in their beloved roles from the original. The sequel picks up with Sarkata terrorizing Chanderi, prompting the townsfolk to seek Stree’s help.
