Actor Ranvir Shorey, who was in a relationship with actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt in the early 2000s, recently opened up about their highly publicized and controversial breakup in an interview with Siddharth Kannan.
When asked about his fallout with the Bhatt family, Shorey shared that he felt manipulated by Pooja during their conflict. He recalled that after a disagreement, he had a conversation with Pooja’s father, Mahesh Bhatt, agreeing to let the matter rest, seeing it as an issue between the two of them.However, the next day, Shorey alleged that false stories were planted in the media, painting him as an abusive alcoholic—a portrayal he vehemently denies.
Shorey further revealed that the conflict was not just between him and Pooja but also involved her brother, who he claims assaulted him. He expressed frustration that Mahesh Bhatt, who could have intervened, instead manipulated the situation against him. Shorey acknowledged that these events occurred 25 years ago and expressed a reluctance to delve too deeply into the past.
On the other hand, Pooja Bhatt reportedly accused Shorey of becoming violent when drunk and claimed that he was physically abusive towards her. Shorey, in a previous appearance on Bigg Boss, briefly touched on his relationship with Pooja, describing it as the biggest scandal of his life.
